Brian McCormick runs a camp for U20 women in Kouvola on Friday and Saturday May 18-19. The camp is especially for 15-to-20-year-old females who consider playing and studying in the USA. However, all female players are welcome.

The players’ parents are welcome to follow the action. On Saturday, the players and their parents have a chance for private talks with Coach McCormick. He gives his opinion and advice about the player’s opportunities to play and study in the USA.

Camp games are filmed and uploaded to YouTube. The players may use the videos as references. The camp is organized by Jukka Kyöstilä and Harri Mannonen in co-operation with Kouvot.

Friday May 18

18.00         Coach McCormick discusses playing and studying in the USA

19.00-21.00     Practice

Saturday May 19

10.00-12.00     Practice

12.00         Lunch (in the gym)

13.00-14.30     Private talks with Coach McCormick

15.00-17.00     Practice

17.00-17.30     Coach McCormick concludes the camp

Brian McCormick is the women’s head coach at Broward College.  His  2017-18 roster included international players from Sweden, Spain, Norway, and Russia.

PhD McCormick is an experienced coach, consultant and coach educator. Besides the States, he has worked in Sweden, Denmark, and Ireland.

The camp fee is 90 euros (incl. taxes). Additionally, the participants may stay at Hotel Scandic at a reduced price. The maximum number of players at the camp is 24.
